The team is in the process of building ultra-low latency, high volume, and reliable next generation cloud-based platform. When it is completed, the applications should support processing several billions of inquiry transactions during market hours. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly visible team that delivers innovative business solutions leveraging emerging technologies at Schwab. You will be working with a team of talented technologists and SMEs who bring a lot of energy, focus and fresh ideas that support our mission to provide value by seeing the world Through Clients' Eyes.What You Are Good AtUsing your technical expertise to make informed decisions.Analyzing and evaluating codeSupporting and/or leading development projects with moderate complexity and scopeWriting automated integration and unit testsUnderstanding complex risk business requirementsMaking a positive influence on your team members and peersCommunicating complex ideas in a clear and concise mannerWorking on Proof of Concepts (PoCs) using new/emerging technology/toolsWhat you haveTo ensure that we fulfill our promise of challenging the status quo, this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.Required Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field3+ years of experience in a software development role3+ years of coding experience in C# (.NET, .NET Core)2+ years of experience with full stack application development technologies, RESTful APIs, relational and NoSQL databases, and cloud technologies3 + years of Agile/Scrum development and CI/CD experienceWorking experience with IBM MQ, Kafka, Aerospike (NoSQL) database, CI/CD, Splunk (logging), PCF (Cloud), and Agile PracticesAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, contribute to multiple projects simultaneously, and learn new technologies quicklyAbility to produce detailed design with help from leads and architects and communicate the design to the necessary stakeholdersAbility to coordinate with teams across different geographic locationsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Docker and KubernetesExposure to front end system integration with Pega/Appian BPM toolsFamiliarity with Schwab Technology ecosystemEffective time management skills and strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
