The certificate program will be paired with hands-on clinical hours teaching the students techniques and procedures vital to becoming a certified MRI Technologist.Shift: DaysHours: Full TimeLocation: Inova Fairfax Medical CenterCertification - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ( ARRT) registered in radiography or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMIT) or Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification 18 months upon acceptance of the offer.; Basic Life Support (BLS) Upon StartResponsibilities:- Participate in a structured training program to learn the principles of MRI technology, safety protocols, and patient care procedures.- Complete Training Modules and exams as scheduled.- Attend educational sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology relevant to MRI imaging.- Prepare MRI equipment and examination rooms before procedures.- Safely administer starter IV, and correctly utilize the power injector for exams requiring IV contrast.Requirements:Certification - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registered in radiography or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMIT) or Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification 18 months upon acceptance of the offer.; Basic Life Support (BLS) Upon StartLicensure - None requiredExperience - 2 years of clinical working experienceEducation - Highschool diploma or equivalentInova Job ID #661380.
