Join our dynamic Strategic Sourcing team as Sourcing Manager for the nonwovens category. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing Rockline’s global supply strategy and for managing all aspects of supplier relationships for assigned nonwoven category. Objectives include obtaining the best net value by evaluating the global market and optimizing the supply chain.Functions of the Sourcing Manager I include:Develop

comprehensive and dynamic sourcing strategies;

support

business unit strategy with a focus on delivering business needs; and

communicate

an executive summary of the category strategy to business unit owners & executives.Mentor

others on category strategy development.Select

global strategic and non-strategic suppliers who deliver best net value, product development, innovation, and competitiveness requirements.Identify

new innovation opportunities that may be a source of competitive advantage and

communicate

those opportunities to stakeholders.Develop

and

manage

the supplier base for global solutions.Lead

supplier discussions focused on cost reduction, risk mitigation, and value improvement.Complete

category analysis on price and cost, supplier comparison, market, and industry trends.Study

and

understand

global markets, staying abreast of changing dynamics, and

develop

sources of market intelligence.Support

internal and external customers in developing commercial terms with suppliers, problem-solving, pricing matrix, supply chain optimization, and resolving raw material quality issues.Create

Purchase Order documents for all major project purchases.Develop

industry, product, and supply base knowledge, including key cost drivers.Forge

key strategic relationships with strategic suppliers and industry leaders, and

develop

those relationships, while remaining mindful of long-term mutually beneficial objectives and providing the business with access to supplier innovation.Functions of the Sourcing Manager II include:Develop

comprehensive and dynamic sourcing strategies;

support

business unit strategy with a focus on delivering business needs; and

long-term mutually beneficial objectives while

providing

the business with access to supplier innovation.Perform

project management by leading and influencing sourcing projects.Demonstrate

demonstrating

a willingness to perform other job-related tasks as needed or requested.Minimum Requirements:A minimum of 4 years of strategic sourcing experience or experience in a related discipline.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, or related field is required. May consider years of experience and education in lieu of degree. MBA preferred. CPSM, CPIM or C.P.M. preferred.Excellent verbal, written, analytical, presentation and interpersonal skills.Ability to perform market and industry trend analysis, evaluate supply sources, and assist customers by identifying solutions to their needs.Ability to analyze data and make recommendations and appropriate business decisions.Ability to perform market surveys and to analyze cost and pricing data.Ability to apply mathematical and statistical concepts and modeling techniques to evaluate alternatives and provide recommendations.Ability to plan negotiation strategies and effectively negotiate terms and conditions.Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and meet impending deadlines.Ability to perform timely & effective RFQ/RFP preparation & analysis.Ability to read and comprehend complex contracts/agreements.Ability to build and foster healthy internal and external relationships.Ability to effectively collaborate with other departments and suppliers.Ability to mentor and develop associates on Sourcing best practices.Contract writing skills to establish contracts/agreements and leases.Excellent knowledge of contract law & Uniform Commercial Code (UCC).A strong background in manufacturing.A high-energy, self-motivated individual that can develop and implement strategies.Strong analytical and persuasive skills and the ability to articulate thoughts and sell ideas to a diverse group.Ability to lead by developing consensus and igniting action in others.Negotiates with a high level of discretion, and in situations that are of high complexity, and have a high business impact.A strong background in sourcing direct materials is required, prefer international.Must be able to travel independently nationally and internationally (globally); up to 20% travel may be required.
