Psychiatrist - Inpatient Care

About Haven Behavioral Hospital of Eastern PA Located in Reading, PA

Haven Behavioral Hospital of Eastern Pennsylvania is seeking a Psychiatrist specializing in Psychiatry and Geriatrics to provide inpatient care at our 86 bed acute-care psychiatric hospital in Reading, PA.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conducting initial psychiatric evaluations
• Collaborating with other disciplines to create individualized treatment plans
• Developing appropriate medication regimen based on patient's history and symptoms
• Facilitating patient linkage to community-based Primary Care providers
• Communicating and working with other community-based physicians

Qualifications:

• MD or DO, specializing in Psychiatry and Geriatrics with a license in the state of PA
• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• At least two years' experience working with mental health adult population in an acute care setting preferred
• Strong background in pharmacology with a focus in psychopharmacology and drug interactions
