Spokane carbon brake operations provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and knowledge behind how Collins airplane brakes are manufactured – from raw material to a full heatsink ship set. Partnering with site Continuous Improvement & Lean Manufacturing leadership, you will utilize your strong technical and interpersonal skill set to uncover process improvements, develop methods to track and visually display said improvements, and communicate the success after improvement implementation. You’ll work with a wide array of personnel, from site leadership to shop-floor employees, gaining insight and knowledge to help develop you for a potential career in engineering support, operations management, or lean manufacturing.What You Will Do:Evaluate manufacturing operations to improve product flow utilizing strategic methods and/or software applications.Develop and manage site-specific metric dashboards utilizing Microsoft suite applications such as SharePoint, PowerBI, PowerApps, or Python programmingLearn and utilize the CORE Operating System to facilitate Continuous Improvement engagements and activities.Clearly communicate and present objective status and track/communicate progress to internal and external leadership.What You Will Learn:A deep understanding of manufacturing operations within a Carbon-brake chemical processing facilityReal-time application of learned concepts and project implementationHow to discover and address real-world challengesA foundation in aerospace manufacturing and a clear understanding of how your work contributes to the success of the organizationProfessional mentorship from several tenured leaders within the Spokane, WA facilityQualifications You Must Have:Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.U.S. Person

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
