The Sanitation Worker is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment in the food production facility. This role involves cleaning and sanitizing production equipment, machinery, and work areas to ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will follow strict protocols to prevent contamination and ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Wonderful management in a newly renovated facility!Perks & Benefits: STARTING PAY: $22/HR2ND SHIFT: 7PM-3:30AMBREAKS: Two 15min paid breaks, 1/2hr unpaid break.DIRECT HIRE (not temp) with eligibility for FULL BENEFITS PACKAGELONG-TERM position!Much growth opportunity.Able to easily accommodate English/Spanish languages.Newly renovated facilityResponsibilities:Clean and sanitize production equipment, tools, and machinery according to established schedules and procedures.Ensure all work areas, floors, and surfaces are free of debris, spills, and contaminants.Follow proper chemical handling procedures and use cleaning agents as required for sanitizing tasks.Disassemble and reassemble production equipment for thorough cleaning.Perform routine inspections to identify areas that need additional cleaning or maintenance.Document cleaning activities and report any issues or malfunctions to the supervisor.Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines, including wearing protective equipment (PPE).Assist in maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and materials.Adhere to all company policies and food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, GMPs).Skills:Good work historyQualifications:Previous experience in sanitation or cleaning, preferably in a food production facility.Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow detailed instructions.Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift equipment or supplies as needed.Able to handle exposure to wet, cold, or hot conditions in a food production environment.Must be able to pass a background check.Spherion has helped thousands of people just like you find work happiness!
