Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of custom mechanical systems, including doors, parts, and components.
  • Create detailed fabrication drawings and conduct structural and mechanical analyses.
  • Improve and optimize manufacturing processes through technical input and hands-on guidance.
  • Specify and source appropriate parts and materials for production.
  • Provide technical support for installation teams, addressing mechanical and electrical queries.
  • Review and author installation instructions, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Oversee quality control measures and ensure safety standards are upheld across production.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to drive continuous improvement.

What you need for this position:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong background in metalworking or fieldwork.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks for creating models, parts, assemblies, and drawings.
  • Familiarity with structural and electrical systems; MATLAB experience preferred.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is advantageous but not required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; PE certification is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
