After an initial ramp-up period of 90 days being fully on-site, the role will transition to 50/50 hybrid schedule.

Job Details:

We are seeking a seasoned Corporate Controller to join our dynamic manufacturing company. This hybrid role is a unique opportunity to combine your financial expertise with your passion for production. You will be responsible for directing and managing the company's accounting functions, including establishing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures. You will also oversee timely and accurate financial statements and reports and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). This role will be responsible for leading and managing a group of 12, with a focus on developing individuals within your team to promote growth from within the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate, analyze and report the financial performance to Management and Board of Directors (financial performance, projections and other special projects as required).
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Manage the company's payroll system and ensure all payroll processes are executed accurately and timely.
  • Implement and manage all financial controls and processes for inventory management.
  • Oversee the audit and internal control processes.
  • Develop and coordinate all relationships with lending/financial institutions.
  • Develop and maintain all necessary systems, policies, and procedures to ensure effective and efficient financial management within the company.
  • Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report.
  • Evaluate and oversee all benefits negotiations.
  • Develop and coordinate the company's ERP system to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Drive the budgeting and forecasting process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business. CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Proven knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
  • Excellent ability to analyze figures, knowledge of accounting principles, and 'the bigger picture.'
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • Proficient in ERP systems.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience in managing payroll and inventory management systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence – ability to motivate staff.
  • Strong operational skills including problem-solving and project management skills, including the ability to be decisive and to drive a strong pace.
