Your Role

The Director, Financial Analytics, Select & Specialty, will oversee membership and financial planning and analysis for Select (CalPERS, ASO, Shared Advantage) and Specialty lines of business. This role requires a deep understanding of non-fully insured financial arrangements, and general financial modeling and analysis acumen. The individual will lead the finance team in planning, analysis, and reporting to support strategic decision-making. This role will report to the Senior Director Actuarial Pricing for Select & Specialty.

Your Work

In this role, you will:

Lead and develop the Select Finance team, consisting of 5 seasoned financial analystsBe responsible for and oversee the team accountable for delivering annual membership forecasting and pricing of Specialty line of businessOwn and lead finance team and strategy on all membership and administrative cost forecasting and financial analysis for key ASO, Shared Advantage clients and CalPERS/FEPOwn, evaluate, and explain monthly financial variances to plan for membership, administrative expense, and operating income.Support the analysis of drivers for underperforming business and drive collaborative action plans to deliver on the path to profitabilityStrong written and verbal communication skills needed. Will develop PowerPoint presentations on key pricing topics and decisions and review them with Senior Management

Your Knowledge and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related field or equivalent experienceMaster's degree or CPA preferredMinimum of 12 years of relevant experience, preferably in healthcare finance, and 6 years of management experienceProven track record of managing financial operations and strategiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable strategiesExcellent leadership and team management abilities, with a commitment to developing team membersEffective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is $165,990.00 to $248,930.00 for California.
