We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as the Director, where they will lead our programs and ensure the highest standards of early childhood education.

Job Summary:We are seeking a dedicated Daycare professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in childcare, preschool, and toddler care, with a passion for childhood development. The Director will oversee daily operations, ensure a safe and educational environment, manage staff, develop and implement curricula, and communicate effectively with parents and the community.

Compensation:

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

● Philosophy Operations: Assist Owners in setting and implementing organizational philosophy, policies, and procedures, fostering a respectful and diverse environment. Collaborate on policy development, handbook content, and edits. Contribute to strategic planning, stay informed on industry trends, and review enrollment and staffing statistics. Manage office systems and programs, including the parent communication database.

● Staff Supervision, Hiring and Coaching: Manage and distribute weekly and daily staff schedules, process time-off requests, and resolve staffing issues. Act as a resource and mentor for staff, providing feedback, conflict resolution, and support. Present information and help plan staff meetings. Collaborate on hiring decisions, interview new staff, and set schedules. Foster a team environment, support reward programs, and provide daily support. Assist with payroll processing, including pay rates, overtime, and leave. Mentor and train staff, ensuring First Aid, CPR, and Emergency Management training.Support curriculum development and implementation. Help implement daily program activities and schedules.

● Facility Operations: Regulatory Compliance, Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with DHS regulations and manage re-licensing. Develop procedures for illness, accidents, and emergencies; ensure classroom and playground safety. Ensure classrooms are appropriately equipped and maintained. Assist in renovations, maintenance, and regulatory compliance.

● Daily Program: Model appropriate interactions and behavior management. Understand child development and milestones, support staff and families in developmental goals. Plan center events, engage and support family communication. Support the daily routine of all classrooms.

● Revenue, Budgeting & Enrollment: Collaborate on tuition increases and financial accommodations. Develop and oversee staff budgets, ensure consistent budget updates. Collaborate on financial management processes and cost containment. Work collaboratively with our family coordinator to manage enrollment rosters, transitions, schedule changes, and family communications

Requirements:

Educational and Experience Requirements (One of the following):

Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) and/or Child Development (CD) courses and 2 years of experience working with children between the ages of 6 weeks to 5 years old.

OR

Two Years College (60 Credits): ECE and CD courses preferred. and 4 years of experience working with children between the ages of 6 weeks to 5 years old.

AND Admin Training:

The National Administrator Credential (NAC) or an equivalent approved administrator credential;

OR

A course in early childhood administration or business administration;

OR

One year of experience as the administrator of an early childhood program

Additional Requirements:

Meet NECPA standards

Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

A genuine passion for early childhood education and child development.

Ability to work effectively with children, parents, and staff.

Knowledge of state and local regulations regarding child care and education.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.

Previous experience in a leadership role within an educational setting.

CPR and First Aid certification.

Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and in case of emergency a 40-pound child

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

Change diapers if needed
