Work between Mid-town Manhattan and Secaucus NJWork one day in Manhattan, Work 4 days in Secaucus NJOur client is an established womenswear company who is looking for a Head Designer with an up-beat personality for their Women’s Day to Evening Dress line. Candidate must have experience in a first-time role and be able to design and execute a Women’s Dress’sFunctions as a creative lead of the Women’s Dress team.They sell from Nordstrom, Macy’s, TJ Maxx Run 3 different categoriesResponsible for concept, design, presentation boards, line sheetsComplete design process from concept to production sample. Sit in fittings, approve fit, lab dips,Selects colors, fabrics, trims, body styles, graphic applicationsResearch global market for trendsSketches style specifics & details, following a sku planDesigns into a sku plan and merchandising each collection deliveryFully responsible for line development from concept to productionAdheres to strict project deadlines in accordance with design/production calendar.The candidate needs to have extensive experience in Branded Dress’sThis role reports to the Director of Design & Merchandising.Candidate is required to do their own tech packs but will have help at crunch time.Must be a hand on, upbeat team player.Must have experience in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
