Job Summary:

Manage the compensation team including responsibility for designing, planning, implementing, monitoring, and managing all aspects of the compensation program for Parkland to ensure the program will attract, retain, motivate, and reward the staff required to successfully meet the goals and objectives of Parkland.Job Duties:Recruit, hire, manage, engage, and retain the compensation team.Analyze, on an ongoing basis, all aspects of the current compensation programs. Design, implement, and maintain a system that remains internally equitable, externally competitive, legally compliant, prudent, and easy to maintain and administer.Ensure up-to-date job documentation exists on all jobs to aid compensation staff and others in ensuring effective Parkland operations.Support a designated customer service group in all aspects of their compensation needs to enhance effective operations for the designated departments.Ensure that salary ranges for jobs are based upon accurate and up-to-date market data as well as the job’s internal worth to Parkland. Analyze market survey data, on a regular schedule, and recommend grade and structure changes to Parkland management to ensure jobs are paid at a competitive level.Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive performance appraisal program for employees and executives that effectively measures employee performance and serves as a tool to facilitate performance improvement.Administer and monitor the effectiveness of the annual merit program, along with other base salary programs that ensure a competent employee’s salary moves toward the market rate over time.Provide advice, counsel, and education to employees at all levels in the organization on all aspects of the compensation program to ensure the programs are administered fairly, equitably, and with a high level of confidence in the equity and competitiveness of the program.Analyze data, compile reports, develop presentations, present new ideas and respond to special requests which increase the overall effectiveness and credibility of the compensation program at Parkland.Job Accountabilities:Identify and analyze the design of jobs, work processes, workflows, etc. for the area and implement appropriate changes to improve effectiveness, productivity, and efficiency that support the overall goals of the department and Parkland.Stay abreast of the latest developments, advancements, and trends in the field by attending seminars/workshops, reading professional journals, actively participating in professional organizations, and/or maintaining certification or licensure. Integrate knowledge gained into current work practices.Maintain knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws, and guidelines that impact the area. Develop effective internal controls designed to promote adherence with applicable laws, accreditation agency requirements, and federal, state, and private health plans. Seek advice and guidance as needed to ensure proper understanding.Develop and monitor annual budgets that ensure the department has the necessary funds to carry out the goals and objectives that have been established for the department.Develop, implement, monitor, and revise annual goals and objectives for the department that support the missions and objectives of Parkland.Select, train, schedule, motivate, supervise, and evaluate employees making recommendations for disciplinary actions up to and including termination, to ensure maximum utilization of individual and group capabilities. Ensure that assigned employees receive opportunities to further their knowledge.Education & Experience:Must have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, preferably specializing in Human Resources studies.Experience:Must have six (6) years of relevant experience, with four (4) of those years in direct compensation roles and two (2) years in a supervisory capacity.Preferred Education, Experience, or Skills:Prefer Certified Compensation Professional (CCP).Work Conditions / Physical Requirements:

Hybrid - Two days in the office per week.
