Under general supervision of the Clinic Manager and guided by the policies and procedures of UCSF Medical Center, Ambulatory Services, and the Department of Ophthalmology, the Orthoptist will provide patient services under direct or indirect ophthalmologist supervision. The Orthoptist will see patients under the supervision of the attending pediatric ophthalmologist and will provide patient care and technical support for pediatric ophthalmology patients, adults with binocular vision problems, eye movement disorders and strabismus, as well as optometry screening clinics.The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degreeFlexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locationsPreferred Qualifications

Demonstrates proficiency in electronic medical record documentationTwo (2) years of experience as an Orthoptist in pediatric ophthalmology and/or adult strabismus clinicLicense/Certification

CPR/BLS through AHAOrthoptist Certification through The American Orthoptic Council within two years of hire and maintained throughout tenureAbout UCSF
