Director of Finance Operations (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Boston, MA):Reports to the COO at Mercatus and Head of FP&A at CRD and serves as an integral member of the Finance team. Although can work fully remote from within the US, must be able to work Pacific time zone core hours.Specific duties include:Develops, supervises & manages the annual budget, mid-year forecast & strategic plan processes which includes collaborating with the management team on the strategic direction and projected financial performance of the business. This includes the full P&L & operational metrics and breakdown by revenue stream and operating expenses & resources by division, region and business initiative;Monthly financial reporting and P&L management which includes proactively advising the management team on the actual financial performance of the business with recommendations for corrective action where required;Oversee, manage and analyze operating metrics bookings (i.e. Sales), annual contract value by client, pipeline metrics from Salesforce, client retention rates, etc. This also includes establishing the annual sales targets (Bookings) and monitoring the attainment of such targets by Sales Team;Managing compensation expenses including resource planning & non-compensation related expenses to ensure on track with budget commitments;Oversees revenue forecasting and reporting through robust modeling by deal and stream;Develops client level build up for each revenue stream to frame existing business, new business (Core Business & Synergies) to help support ongoing projections and scenario analysis;Identifies and measures key performance indicators to promote output, performance management, and organizational growth and works with staff to improve performance when key indicators show benchmarks are not being attained;Responsible for areas outside of traditional FP&A responsibilities such as deal pricing, contract reviews and accounting policies for Software revenue recognition and cost capitalization from time to time;Monitor the acquisition deal model (an ongoing exercise until end of 2023) and compare against the latest bottoms-up financial projections to help determine risk & opportunities and where corrective business actions are required;Supervises two employees at Revenue Insights Center (RIC) on a dotted line basis who assist with the activities noted above.Minimum requirements are:Master's degree or its equivalent, in Business Administration Finance or a related degree; plus 4 years of experience (pre- or post-master's) in the job offered or in any related occupations where the required experience in finance can be gained.Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Finance or a related degree; plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or in any related occupations where the required experience in finance can be gained.Must have:Strong P&L management background in the Tech space;Demonstrated proficiency in a quantitative heavy position including strong quantitative and analytical competency;Demonstrated revenue recognition experience;Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP ASC606; fluency in standard software including advanced knowledge of Excel;Prior Salesforce Administrative Experience in Pipeline management and reporting; demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment;Demonstrated strong business sense, a keen attention to detail, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision;Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with senior management (executive presence);Experience with designing and building multi-year models for financial forecasting and operational reporting.Salary Range:$176863 - $235000 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
