Pediatric/Neonatal Advanced Practice ProvidersPer DiemJob SummaryThe Nurse Practitioner serves as a high level professional whose activities will span the interface between the physicians and nurses who manage the Newborn Nursery and Pedi-Med services at Benioff Children’s Hospital, San Francisco. The NP is an independent member of the team, with responsibility for the safe delivery of care for inpatient newborns.The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. The salary range for this position is $128.67 - $128.67 (Hourly Rate).Required QualificationsMasters or Doctoral Degree in Nursing from a NP programA minimum of one (1) year of recent experience as a Nurse Practitioner working with newborns or infantsPreferred QualificationsMore than one (1) year of work experience as a NP in a Newborn Nursery or Newborn ICULactation certification or lactation education experienceLicense/CertificationCalifornia driver's license (CDL) if required for position.Current national certification from an accepted certifying agency and provide by first day of work.Current and active RN and NP and Furnishing license in California.Complete a BRN recognized graduate master's degree program as a nurse practitioner.Active and/or transferable DEA license to California and provide evidence by 90th day of clinical practice.Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through credentialing by first clinical day.Current AHA BLS.Current AHA NRP.State regulation requires that you have a supervising physician to practice.Incumbents with less than 6 months of NP experience will be hired as a Nurse Practitioner 1.About UCSFAt UCSF Health, our mission of innovative patient care, advanced technology and pioneering research is redefining what's possible for the patients we serve.
