The Athenaeum Center was built in 1911 on the St. Alphonsus campus and is home to Chicago’s oldest continuously-operating off-Loop theater. We are looking for an eager, organized individual to assist the Marketing Director with the implementation and execution of social media, email, and digital campaigns to promote our organization and events; as well as communicate with renter marketing departments and manage their campaigns. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. This part-time position is perfect for someone with a passion for design, strong technical skills, and a creative flair.Key Responsibilities:Project Management / Communication:
Project management and assistance to Marketing DirectorKeeping things on track and scheduling various components based on overarching goalsIntegrating client marketing services into our project queues and managing communication in HelpScout
Email:
Assist in the development and execution of email marketing campaignsHave an understanding of our various genre/interest segments and be able to build campaigns that effectively segment our list to avoid over-saturation
Social Media:
Lead Social Media content creationHave a continued working understanding of our mission and focus on creating content that both advertises shows and promotes the ideas behind our missionAssist with execution of Social Media Ad campaignsAssist with reporting on social media campaigns
Design:
Create visual collateral for print, social media, onsite media, and website etcWebsite management / maintenance as needed
Other:
Assist in other marketing-related tasks as neededProvide general support to the marketing team as needed.
Requirements:A solid understanding and respect for the teachings of the Catholic ChurchHigh school diploma or equivalent.1-2 years of experience in email marketing or a related field preferred, but not required.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office, Meta Business Suite, and email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp or Wordfly.Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.Basic knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing channels.Familiarity with WordPress for website management.Strong graphic design skills and a keen eye for aesthetics.Basic knowledge of marketing analytics and reporting.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.Previous marketing or design experience is a plus.
