**Must-Have:**- Experience with arterial lines and titrating vasoactive drips- PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Telemetry- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias- Use of Rapid Response Teams- IV insulin protocols- Blood Product Administration- Central and Peripheral Line Care/Management- PICC line management- Heparin Protocols- CVA, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac- External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management- Tracheostomy Management- Isolation Precautions- Required experience with IV start, telemetry, and conscious sedation

**Job Description:**- **Unit Details:** ICU stepdown; caters primarily post-rapid response team patients, respiratory distress, unstable hemodynamics, withdrawal, GI bleeds, and specific post-surgery cases.- **Patient Diagnoses:** Special procedures for post-op GYN, GU, GI surgeries, thoracotomies, neuro, ortho surgeries, and pre/post OB with complications.- **Target Ratios:** 3:1 or 4:1- **Floating Requirement:** Must float as needed to sister unit ICCU.- **Weekend Requirement:** Every other weekend.- **Special Equipment:** Bedside telemetry monitors with remote backup. Nurses must recognize and treat dysrhythmias. No vents are present on the unit.- **Unit Systems:** Uses Pyxis and Epic.- **Scheduling Type:** Managed by the nursing manager.- **Special Procedures:** Administering Cardizem, Nitro, Precedex, Cardene, Levophed, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Neo drips.- **Hospital Orientation:** Traveler must be available for classes each day during the first week.- **Testing Requirements:** Pass EKG testing prior to start.- **Dress Code:** Scrubs in navy, white, or a combination of the two.- **Holiday Requirements:** Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.- **Fatigue Policy:** A maximum of 5 consecutive days and 60 hours per week are allowed.
