This position requires a unique blend of operational excellence, strategic thinking, and project management skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management and the ability to navigate complex business challenges in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.Key ResponsibilitiesExecutive Support and Strategic Initiatives

Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and senior leadership team, providing high-level support on critical business decisions and initiativesCollaborate closely with all members of the senior leadership team to align operations across departments with overall business objectivesDevelop and implement cross-functional projects to drive company growth and efficiencyManage special projects as assigned by the CEO and other senior leadersGeneral Operations

Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth functioning across all departmentsIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance organizational efficiencyCoordinate with department heads to streamline operations and resolve cross-functional challengesManage key vendor relationships and contractsDevelop and maintain operational policies and proceduresImplement and oversee quality control systemsProject Management

Lead and coordinate major company initiatives and projectsDevelop project timelines, allocate resources, and monitor progressIdentify potential roadblocks and develop mitigation strategiesEnsure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budgetPerformance Management and Reporting

Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) across all departmentsPrepare comprehensive reports on operational performance for the executive team and boardAnalyze operational data to identify trends and areas for improvementImplement data-driven decision-making processes across the organizationOrganizational Development

Work with HR to develop and implement strategies for talent acquisition and retentionAssist in creating and maintaining a positive company cultureFacilitate cross-departmental communication and collaborationQualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field; MBA preferred6+ years of experience in operations management or a similar roleExperience in a high-growth tech startup environmentStrong understanding of the freight and logistics industry preferredExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsOutstanding communication and interpersonal abilitiesProven track record of managing complex projects and driving resultsAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing prioritiesProficiency in project management tools and data analysis softwarePersonal AttributesExceptional leadership and team-building skillsStrategic thinker with strong business acumenHighly organized with meticulous attention to detailAdaptable and comfortable with ambiguityDiscreet and trustworthy, capable of handling confidential informationCompensationThe expected on-target compensation for this role is between $150,000-$200,000 for work performed in the United States. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include experience level, transferable skills, education, location, business needs, training, and market demands.
