Position Overview: The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with project managers and other departments, providing financial insights that drive the construction projects forward.

Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Collaborate with project managers to track and report on project costs, budgets, and financial performance.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing financial analysis and insights.
• Ensure compliance with all accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.

Staff Accountant Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred but not required.
• 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience, construction industry experience is a plus!
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
