The Job

Provide analytical support to the annual budgeting and reforecasting processes as well as responding to inquiries from budget owners to troubleshoot issues and analyze monthly reforecast variances versus approved budget. Perform complex analyses including monthly reconciliations, accounting journal entries and monthly financial statement creation and variance analysis.

You Will

Mine, collect, and analyze relevant data to support the corporate budgeting and forecasting processes.

Create and maintain financial models for specific areas as required.

Conduct ongoing analysis required to achieve the quarterly administrative reforecast.

Knowledgeable of all P&L and Balance Sheet activities for the care delivery companies, including but not limited to, grants accounting, healthcare revenues, medical expenses, SG&A expenses, cash & cash equivalents, healthcare receivables and payables, fixed assets, accrued liabilities and equity.

Identify, propose, and execute improvements for the current processes and/or controls for the care delivery companies, including the improvement of the chart of account design based on the companies' needs.

Develop strong working relationships with finance leads and business owners of the operational areas of the company to support the annual budgeting, forecasting, and monthly close processes.

Support the annual budget process by leading and preparing the budget as related to Operational Administrative expenses, allocations, and capital expenditures for specific operational areas.

Communicate with budget owners as needed to review monthly results, offer explanations regarding variances, and troubleshoot issues.Guide budget owners on principles of accounting, budgeting and forecasting.

Provide business leaders with variance explanations during month-end close process through conducting data analyses and summarizing monthly financial results into key metrics report decks.

Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and forecasting accuracy.

Perform ad hoc analysis as required.

Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Actively support the achievement of SCAN's Vision and Goals.

Your Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.MBA preferred.A comparable combination of education/experience and/or training will be considered equivalent to the education listed above.

CPA/CA, CFA or CMA or progress towards attaining one of these designations preferred but not required.5+ years of relevant experience in Corporate Finance and/or Accounting.Healthcare experience preferred, specifically in an HMO setting.Advanced knowledge of financial modeling.Advanced Excel skills.Intermediate Power BI skills.Strong analytical abilities.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to deliver presentations to small groups.Ability to work under tight deadlines, manage multiple responsibilities and work independently with minimal supervision.Proficient in MS Office.What's in it for you?
