Job Details
The CT technologist will demonstrate professionalism and service excellence when performing various tasks.Maintains sterility of field and instruments.Communicates to the patient and family before, during, and after the procedure.Adheres to all HIPAA regulations and respects the patients' privacy.Verifies patient identification according to policy.Observes patients' condition before and after contrast injections.Ensures availability of medical records and history of the patient.Begins emergency response in case of complications.Participates in the routine cleaning of the CT gantry, table, and peripheral equipment.Job Requirements
Obtains necessary medical, surgical, and radiological supplies according to protocols.Correctly prepares requisitions.Maintains adequate linen and supply levels in scanning rooms.Assists in maintaining CT storeroom, inventory, and cleanliness.Ensures workflow within the section, triages procedures, and coordinates patient transport.Screens for allergies/medication incompatibilities.Schedule Information
Notifies Lead of expired or soon to expire equipment or medications.Participates in daily inventory and stocking of supplies.Point staff triages procedures and ensures efficient workflow.Unit Specific Information
Maintains QA/QC requirements for daily, monthly, and ACR specifications.Recognizes unusual conditions in the operation of equipment.Adheres to venipuncture and power injector protocols.
