Position Description:

The Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Product Owner (PO) will work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office (PO). The PO will be responsible for the prioritization and validation of the development software for a Force Operations (FO) Software (SW) development team. The position will include reviewing/understanding Systems Engineering concepts/designs/algorithms and providing guidance to the development team. The PO will support the team in the development of acceptance criteria for software updates and be responsible for their verification. The product owner will work with Program management in setting priorities for the capabilities and defects of the team for each product increment and sprint. The position will include technical briefings, demonstrations, and advisement to leadership. The product owner will report on status; recommended courses of action, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission.

Basic Qualifications:

The candidate must have a good understanding of defense design and the following capabilities in a large system; resource laydown, plans and orders from higher echelon units (HEUs), radar initialization parameters, defense plan evaluation, and user interfaces. The candidate must have the ability to provide oversight to an FO SW development and verify the team's work based on agreed-upon acceptance criteria, including attending code reviews. The candidate must be able to work directly with the Agile software developers.

The candidate must:•Be fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset•Be a US citizen•Have a bachelor's degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences or mathematics•Have a minimum of 7 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above

Other Qualifications:

An additional plus is knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS. Prior Product Owner of a SW development SCRUM team is a plus.

Security Requirements:

Candidate must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance or higher.
