We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated Workers' Compensation (WC) Defense Attorney to join our esteemed legal team. You will be responsible for representing employers and insurance carriers in all stages of workers' compensation litigation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced attorney with a passion for defending clients in workers' compensation cases and a desire to provide exceptional legal services. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on challenging cases, develop strategies, and provide legal advice to our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent and defend clients in all stages of workers' compensation litigation, including trials, oral arguments, mediations, and arbitration.
  • Analyze and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations with probable case outcomes for individuals and businesses.
  • Conduct extensive legal research to support decisions on case law and legal interpretation.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, motions, appeals, contracts, and legal opinions.
  • Develop strategies and negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
  • Provide legal advice to clients regarding their legal rights and obligations.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Develop relationships with clients to foster long-term business partnerships.
  • Stay updated on new developments in workers' compensation laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in the state.
  • Proven experience representing employers and insurance carriers in workers' compensation cases.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to interpret and analyze laws and regulations.
  • Excellent research, analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and legal team.
  • Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong commitment to professional development and willingness to stay updated on new laws and legal interpretations in workers' compensation.
