Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic, motivated, and experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to manage a variety of residential construction projects, with some commercial projects as well. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction project management, with a proven track record of successfully completed projects. This role requires a strong understanding of all stages of the construction process, from design and procurement to construction and completion.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Residential Project Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing all stages of project life cycle management from initiation to completion.
- Developing and managing project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinating with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists.
- Ensuring all necessary permits and legal paperwork are obtained.
- Managing contracts and negotiations with vendors and subcontractors.
- Leading and managing teams to ensure efficient and effective project execution.
- Identifying, analyzing, and responding to risks that might impact project objectives.
- Implementing effective communication strategies and acting as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders.
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution to address issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Ensuring all safety and compliance measures are met throughout the project.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in residential projects.
- Demonstrated experience in contract management, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
- Strong leadership skills with a record of leading and managing teams effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Proven experience in budgeting and financial management.
- Strong risk management skills with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in project management software and MS Office Suite.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
