The OpportunityThe Director of Content Management is a pivotal leadership role crafted to drive our content strategy in the AI era. This position requires an individual with extensive experience in digital media and technology industry, with over a decade of leadership roles, paired with a background in AI, analytics, and operations, with an understanding of consumer creative products. This position will not only uphold but improve our strategic position by integrating innovative content practices with traditional media principles, ensuring our content is relevant to customers.

This role requires a strategic problem solver who is data-driven, pragmatic, and passionate about leading and mentoring teams. The Director will lead an organization of 20-25, coordinating the efforts of 3-5 content teams alongside business strategists . Tasked with evolving the content strategy and aligning strategic goals, this leader will also own communicating insights and plans to executive teams, playing a key role in the broader business planning process.

What you'll Do

Establish and communicate the strategic approach for content, defining content business strategies, including positioning, and aligning content strategies with business objectives .

Lead detailed content requirements analyses across digital media to identify expansion opportunities that align with business outcomes and ensure a strategic approach in content diversification and innovation.

Set and lead clear targets for business impact from content strategies and acquisition initiatives. Track and analyze content performance to ensure strategic alignment and outcome realization.

Define detailed content specifications for model training, supporting product requirements.

Evaluate existing collections and direct content acquisition strategies to improve and expand content libraries.

Develop and implement acquisition strategies for licensing, production, crowdsourcing, and partnerships.

Lead initiatives to build earning opportunities within the contributor creator network, including innovative crowdsourcing approaches.

Own the design template content strategy, leading the acquisition of templates and other media assets, ensuring they meet market needs.

Lead the evaluation process for AI-generated content, ensuring outputs achieve aesthetic, technical, cultural, and ethical standards.

Lead content curation for enterprise client engagements, landing pages, web properties, and marketing events to improve user engagement and happiness.

What you need to succeed

At least 10 years of senior leadership experience in the media industry, with a consistent record running large teams and projects.

Expertise in operational analytics with an ability to apply data-driven decision-making.

Exceptional leader, capable of empowering and inspiring teams, encouraging trust, accountability, and collaborative success.

Deep understanding of content dynamics across various media types, including images, video, 3D , and audio.

Proficient in handling content requirements for evolving product features and adapting to new technologies like AI and immersive media.

Expertise in developing and driving content strategies, with a focus on diversifying content sources and improving contributor relations.

Strong operational skills problem-solving abilities to lead and transform content teams and resolve leadership and interpersonal inefficiencies optimally.

Strong ethical judgment and cultural sensitivity, especially in handling AI-generated content and maintaining alignment with industry standards and expectations.Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $157,900 -- $291,400 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
