The Vice President of Retail Sales will lead our retail sales strategy, driving growth and customer satisfaction across the retail sector. This role exists to build a high-performing sales organization that excels in customer acquisition and expansion in the tech-driven retail industry. The VP will play a critical role in ensuring the company meets its revenue goals by leveraging data-driven strategies, fostering deep customer relationships, and collaborating across teams. The successful candidate will significantly contribute to the company's growth by implementing strategies that enhance market penetration and strengthen the brand within the retail industry.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Build and lead the US Retail Sales organization, scaling the team to meet aggressive growth targets

Manage, coach, and mentor both sales leaders and independent contributors to drive high performance

Deliver best-in-class sales growth metrics

Develop and implement a data-driven approach to building pipeline, forecasting, and sales execution

Translate business objectives into actionable sales strategies, driving alignment with overall company goals

Engage directly with key retail clients, fostering strong executive-level relationships and participating in strategic meetings and QBRs

Serve as a brand ambassador, promoting the company's retail solutions and championing customer experience values

Partner closely with Product, Marketing, and other internal teams to align on retail-specific customer needs and advocacy programs

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Channel, Marketing, and Customer Success, to enhance customer engagement and growth

Stay informed on competitive landscape and industry trends, with a deep understanding of the company's product suite and how it serves retail clients

Qualifications:

10+ years in senior sales leadership roles, with significant experience in the retail industry

15+ years in sales or related roles, with proven experience driving revenue in high-growth tech environments

Experience building and scaling world-class sales teams, with a focus on hiring, onboarding, and developing talent

Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to drive a culture of high performance and accountability

Strong analytical skills, with a track record of leveraging data to drive sales strategy and results

Deep experience in managing complex, large-scale sales engagements in the retail tech space

Proven ability to manage customer relationships and develop long-term, trusted partnerships with C-level executives

Experience working in a fast-paced, scaling B2B SaaS company preferred

Familiarity with retail technology platforms and integrations, including Salesforce and other CRM tools is a plus

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Primarily office-environment work, extended periods of sitting or standing, computer-based work. Limited lifting, and equipment usage limited to computer-related equipment (keyboards, mouse, etc.)
