**Job Title:** Registered Nurse - CVICU
**Job Specialty:** Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
**Job Duration:** 13 Weeks
**Shift:** Night 4x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)
**Guaranteed Hours:** 48 Hours per Week
**Experience:** Minimum 2 years of experience required; more than 1 year of recent CVICU experience
**License:** Must have an active license by the start date. Pending licenses can be accepted for submittal.
**Certifications:** BCLS, ACLS
**Must-Have:**- Experience in care of ventilated patients- Procedural sedation administration- Continuous IV sedation- Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring- Management and interpretation of dysrhythmias
**Preferred:**- CCRN certification- Open heart training
**Job Description:**- A 6-week contract with the possibility of extension.- The unit has 20 beds, with 8 beds in CICU and 12 beds in Step-Down.- Patient diagnoses include post-op CABG, AVR, MVR, vascular and endovascular surgery, heart failure support, sepsis, respiratory failure, and more.- Special procedures involve Impella, balloon pump, and ECMO/Tandem Heart.- A unit-based educator is available during weekdays and as needed.- Special equipment includes ceiling lifts, hoyer lifts, and sit-to-stand lifts.- Requirement to work 6 weekends per every 6-week schedule block.- Flexibility to float to ICU, MS, Tele, and ER where needed.- Navy blue scrubs are required on the unit.- Smoke-free facility.- Covid-19 vaccine is required; flu vaccine policy is unknown at this time.
