Brightcove is looking to hire a Vice President, Strategy & Corporate Business Development who will be focused on accelerating Brightcove’s strategic initiatives through the identification, evaluation, and execution of enterprise-wide corporate partnerships, developing business plans and incubating new business lines, and M&A opportunities. This individual will be a domain expert within the video, advertising, and media/marketing-technology sectors and have a proven track record of working across functions within their own organization and partner organizations, to execute and manage partnerships, new business lines, and M&A. This individual will also play a critical role on the Strategy & Corporate Development Team contributing to corporate strategy formulation and planning, special strategic / transformation projects and new business development activities.

Job Responsibilities

Work directly with the Chief Strategy & Corporate Development Officer to define and execute strategy for enterprise-wide corporate partnerships, new business line development, and M&A.

Run point on corporate business development opportunities ranging from developing business plans for new ventures, incubating new business lines, to joint ventures.

Collaborate and partner with Brightcove’s channel partnership, sales, customer success, product and partner marketplace teams in synthesizing a strategic approach in how to tackle and grow our enterprise level partnerships.

Lead and manage Brightcove’s strategic enterprise-wide partnerships including partner relationships, contract renewal/management, monitoring and adherence to contract obligations, SLAs, development and execution of long-term enterprise strategic plan, and leading monthly quarterly strategic alignment sessions with partners and key business area representatives.

Develop and manage key M&A relationships including investment banks, advisors, private equity firms, and other investors.

Lead development of presentations for board of directors, senior management, and other internal teams, on various topics including strategic M&A direction, opportunities and updates on execution and transactions.

Qualifications/Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Finance, Business or Business Administration highly preferred; MBA highly preferred.

15 years of overall experience including some combination of corporate development, partnerships, strategy, business development, investment banking, strategy consulting or related roles.

Strong familiarity with contractual terms and an ability to take ownership over complex deal structures and negotiations, navigating them with creative and innovative problem solving skills.

Focus of work experience within the Ad Tech/Media/Video industry required.

Experience driving complex, technical processes and working with functional subject matter experts to ensure gaps are addressed proactively.
