Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Network Security Engineer
with specialized expertise in
Cisco technologies
to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network infrastructure, ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data and resources. You will play a crucial role in protecting the organization’s systems against cybersecurity threats by leveraging Cisco security tools and network equipment.
This is a 6 month contract to hire and requires an active Secret clearance or higher.
Responsibilities:Design, implement, and maintain secure network solutions
using Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and security appliances (e.g., ASA, Firepower, and ISE).Monitor and analyze network traffic
for security threats, vulnerabilities, and breaches; proactively develop mitigation strategies.Implement and maintain
network access control
policies through Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine).Conduct
vulnerability assessments, penetration testing , and ensure network security compliance with industry standards and best practices.Configure, troubleshoot, and manage firewalls
(Cisco ASA, Firepower, etc.) to enforce corporate security policies.Manage VPNs , IPsec tunnels, and secure remote access solutions using Cisco AnyConnect and other related technologies.Implement and manage
Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS) .Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the
security of cloud and hybrid infrastructure
environments.Maintain network documentation
for security infrastructure, configurations, processes, and procedures.Stay up to date with the latest
security trends, vulnerabilities, and Cisco-specific updates ; recommend and implement new security technologies and solutions.Participate in
incident response , perform root cause analysis of security incidents, and provide solutions for prevention.
$125,000 - $150,000 a year
