Then this position may be for you.Inkit is looking for a talented and hands-on Director of Product Design to oversee product design policies, objectives, and initiatives. This role requires a designer who excels at transforming customer pain points into innovative products and features.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UX-driven SaaS product design, with a proven ability to create scalable, user-centric designs that bridge the gap between marketing and product development. Your role will involve collaborating closely with marketing, product, and engineering teams to develop new products and features that meet consumer needs.This is a hybrid role of strategy, leadership, and execution. The Director of Product Design will spearhead the overarching vision, reporting directly to the Head of Marketing. In addition to long-term planning, this role will also execute strategies and designs, ensuring all products meet Inkit's standards of excellence. Your role gives you a unique opportunity to directly influence the future of Inkit products. Provide creative output and direction to ensure the overall vision for the product is achievedLead, recruit, coach, and mentor a team of world-class product designers and user researchersCollaborate with members of cross-functional teams and be a champion for user-centered culture and design practicesCreate visually engaging, innovative, and functional digital productsEncourage cross-functional collaboration and communicate the impact of this practice on design.Work closely with product managers, engineers, quality assurance, and leadership to ensure a cohesive user experience across all productsOrganize teams that can provide design solutions effectively and with excellence across all departmentsEstablish metrics and measurable goals to ensure visibility into the design's impact on businessAdvocate the importance of User-Centered Design and mentoring designers on the design process and deliverableDrive a framework to ensure career progression and development paths for designersIdentify improvement opportunities within the scope of design and other teams functioning holisticallyBuild a design culture that encourages innovation while balancing the need for optimizationCommunicate the value of design thinking and a customer-first approach to strategy across all areas of the businessPartner closely with leaders in engineering, product, sales, marketing, and other departments to constantly improve on communication and efficiency practicesRequirements

3+ years experience as a Design Director or UX Design Manager2+ years experience as a product designerHave 4-6+ years of experience shipping products and collaborating with developers3+ years leading a design teamDeep knowledge of UX research and appropriate application of methodologiesExpert knowledge of design systems, information architecture, and Material and iOS design languagesSolid understanding of user-centric design methods across the digital product design processPortfolio with strong case studies of leading successful product design and evolutionDesired Skills

Familiar with tools such as GitHub to collaborate with engineers and manage design assetsExperience with hi-fidelity prototyping toolsKnowledge and awareness of front-end technologies such as CSS/HTMLProficiency in UX design principles and methodologiesExperience in auditing and evaluating design assetsStrong knowledge of SaaS design best practicesAbility to create wireframes and interactive prototypesProficiency in design tools like Figma and Adobe SuiteProficiency with collaborative and project management tools like Slack and AsanaNice to Have
