The Manager position is in a dynamic, fast-paced and growing Consulting Services Department. The ideal candidate will have the desire to contribute immediately to the continued growth of our premier regional Consulting practice. The position will require excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and will require the candidate to supervise multiple projects at any one time.

General Description

This person will be a key team member in our Consulting Services / Business Advisory Services Group. The candidate will be assisting with a wide variety of services, industries, and situations, including:

Business Process Services / ERP / BPI

Litigation / Bankruptcy

M&A / Transaction Advisory

Risk Services

SOC / Cyber / IT Risk Services

Major Responsibilities

Lead and inspire teams

Drive scheduling and exceed client expectations

Thrive on client relationship building and helping clients. Interact with clients and help ensure the client has a positive experience

Enable RubinBrown Core Values, especially superior quality and service, and having fun

Strong internal and external project management of engagements including planning, scheduling of team members, review, reporting and wrap-up

Lead control and business processes walk-throughs to gain an understanding of the control design

Lead and review operating effectiveness testing over controls System and Organization Controls (SOC) Reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and/or special consulting / attest engagements

Perform other creative control and technology reviews

Finalize internal and external deliverables for RubinBrown management review

Provide direct communication with clients and RubinBrown Team Members

Supervise the team assigned to engagements

Provide training or act as a mentor to newer team members and help them build new skills

Demonstrate sound consulting skills including assessing issues, using financial acumen and using sound judgment

Contribute to a collaborative work environment

Plan, organize and manage time effectively

Develop and demonstrate technical / functional expertise

Preferred Experience/Background/Skills

Bachelor’s degree (major or minor) in Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or related degree

CPA, CISA, CISSP or CIA designation preferred

A minimum of five years of current and / or recent experience in auditing or consulting roles (e.g., Internal Audit, SOC, SOX 404, other Attest/Examinations).

Commitment to superior client service and creative problem-solving ability with a consultancy mindset

Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects, challenging client requirements and deadlines

Possess strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable interacting with client personnel and C-level management

Highly motivated, self-starter, strong ability to learn, adapt and function as strong team player

Experience with risk assessment and control/audit procedures

Experience using control assessment tools

Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word and Excel required) and Adobe Acrobat DC or equivalent

Strict adherence to professional ethics

Ability to successfully contribute to the success of a strategic business unit of the firm

Have the ability to effectively use technology

Attention to detail

Working Conditions

Core working hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with minimum of 2 - 3 days per week working in the office

Ability to work extra hours as determined by the workload and client expectations

Travel for this position may be required

Ability to sit for long periods of time

Ability to move throughout office.

Ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 30-50 pounds.

Ability to effectively communicate with clients, team members, etc.
