The Chief Investment Officer will be responsible for overseeing investment strategies, management, finance, investments, and portfolio management on a day-to-day basis. The desired candidate will provide strong leadership skills and at least 8 years’ progressive trust investment experience. The preferred applicant should be familiar with and be able to implement the Trust Department investment policies and procedures for the Bank.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Direct development, implementation and communication of approved investment policies for the Trust Department.Oversee formulation, maintenance, review, and communication of standard Trust Department investment practices, manuals, and procedures.Provide investment research and analysis to understand clients’ financial goals and needs as well as to assist the portfolio management team.Accountable for overall management, training, and mentoring of assigned staff.Proactively seek out and effectively and accurately communicate with prospective and existing clients to provide guidance on investment, administrative, tax, and planning topics.Create tailored investment strategies and customized financial plans for clients while identifying objectives and constraints such as regulatory issues, liquidity needs, and tax implications.Serve as a member of various committees related to the Trust Department.Direct and participate in personal trust and individual account investment activities.Educate clients on financial planning strategies and investment options.Monitor and review clients' financial situations regularly to ensure alignment with their goals.Work with auditors and examiners on various investment issues.Generate various risk control related reports.Establish and maintain relationships with business and accounting professionals to promote the Trust Department along with cross-selling various value-added products and services.Participate in the Bank’s business development activities and represent the Bank in social events to promote the Bank’s products and services, maintain communication with prospective and current clients, and to ensure the maintenance of the Bank’s favorable image.QualificationsBachelor's degree plus eight to ten years additional training or experience in trust, investment management, or financial planning; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Investment Strategies and Investment Management skillsFinance and Investments expertisePortfolio Management knowledgeStrong analytical and decision-making abilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsCertification as investment professional such as CFTA, CFP, ChFC, CFA or comparable credentialsPosition requires occasional overnight travelHow to ApplyPlease submit application at the following link: CNB Employment OpportunitiesQuestions or inquiries can be sent to: HRjobs@cnbil.comSalary commensurate with experience; excellent benefit package.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities
