About The Position **Job Title:** Sterile Processing Technologist/Technician **Job Specialty:** Sterile Processing **Job Duration:** 8 months **Shift:** 7.5H 15:00-23:00 Evening **Guaranteed Hours:** 37.5 per week **Experience:** Minimum 1 year **License:** N/A **Certifications:** CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) **Must-Have:** High School Diploma or equivalent, Manual dexterity, ability to stand, bend, lift, and/or reach for extended periods of time, Effective communication skills in English **Job Description:** - Proficiency in reprocessing laparoscopic instrumentation. - Use SynergyTrak for instrument tracking to manage 40-60 cases per day. - Disassemble, clean, sterilize, reassemble, and package orthopedic and general surgical instruments and sterile supplies following specifications and manufacturer instructions. - Operate various equipment including instrument washers, cart washers, autoclave sterilizers, dryers, ultrasonic machines, steam and ethylene oxide sterilizers, and heat sealers. - Adhere to instrument count sheets for surgical sets and case carts. - Retrieve used trays, instruments, and equipment from surgical and clinical areas for decontamination. - Examine instruments and patient care equipment to ensure cleanliness, proper assembly, and functionality, identifying any malfunctioning items. - Assist in ordering, stocking, and maintaining department inventory levels. - Perform required duties to maintain a contaminant-free work environment. - Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds, as required. - Scrubs provided; separate footwear required for hospital versus outside. 9369501EXPPLAT Job Requirements Required for Onboarding BLS - AHA Core Competency Skills Checklist Specialty Exam About Cynet Health Your travel adventure begins here.
