Medline Industries, LP in Northfield, IL is seeking experienced Sr. Business Systems Analyst(s) to analyze system change requests, facilitate requirements gathering, manage software
development and implementation, resolve issues and enhancements, and drive process improvement within the team through Agile and DevOps methodologies. Individuals will apply
advanced theoretical knowledge of computer science principles and concepts, as well as experience with Master Data Management (MDM) platforms, to perform the duties of the position.

Job responsibilities and duties include:

  • Develop expertise within our Master Data Management Landscape and support Informatica, P360, IICS and PRIINT.
  • Present innovative options for addressing system change requests and recommend the best course of action based on requirements coverage and effort required.
  • Perform functional analysis for designing solutions, evaluating options that include, but are not limited to, new software development, configuration of existing systems, integration of quality and regulatory applications with other internal systems, business process redesign, new package/system evaluation, or a combination of these options.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering meetings with users and management to determine business needs and translate them to system requirements.
  • Serve as point person for addressing issues and enhancements related to the specific product and functional area.
  • Deliver software requirements to developers and serve as the developer’s point of contact for clarification and follow-up throughout the development process.
  • Manage implementation plans for releasing system enhancements or new Software solutions to production.
  • Focus on quality during all phases of Software development, including requirements gathering, design, testing, and implementation.
  • Collaborate with MDM Architect, MDM Developers, and other business users in addressing issues and enhancements related to MDM.
  • Drive process improvement within the team as we continue to grow with agile and DevOps tools and methodologies.

This position has no direct reports and does not supervise the work of any other employees.

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer or Software Engineering, or any related IT or Engineering field of study, plus at least three
(3) years of experience in the job offered or in any related position(s) through which the required experience was gained.

In lieu of the above-stated primary education and experience requirements, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer or Software Engineering, or any related IT or Engineering field of study, plus at least five (5) years of post-degree, progressively responsible experience in any related position(s) through which the required experience was gained.

Qualified applicants must also have demonstrable proficiency, skill, experience, or knowledge with the following:

  1. PIM/MDM Platforms.
  2. Demonstrated record of managing multiple projects including work prioritization, planning, and task delegation.
  3. Demonstrated experience in using Agile methodology.
  4. Experience working as part of a Scrum team.
  5. Demonstrated experience working with both onshore and offshore teams.
  6. Experience with two or more of the following DevOps tools: Jira, Zephyr, Splunk, or SonarQube.

No travel required. Work from home (WFH) benefit available; must be available to come into the office periodically when needed.
