Basic Function & Responsibility
Our client has an immediate temporary Staffl Accountant need to assist an busy accounting team in our Naugatuck office. This individual should be a highly organized self-starter able to work both individually and as a team. This role will interact regularly with the accounting team. .

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Full Cycle Accounts Payable - ensure all approvals and GL coding are acquired. Enter all transactions into ERP system.
  • Accounts Receivable - ensure all billing is completed with accuracy, investigate discrepancies, code cash receipts to proper account prior to processing.
  • Vendor statement reconciliations.
  • Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
  • Procures ad-hoc reports as requested.
  • Assist with month end process and prepare monthly reconciliations.
  • Assists with external audits by providing all requested information for auditors.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Education
  • A.S. in Accounting preferred
  • 5 years' experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of G/L reconciliations, journal entries & month end close
  • Strong Excel skills, (pivot table, VLOOKUPS, etc.)
  • ERP System experience a PLUS
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills,
