Duties and Learning experience include but are not limited to the following:Aid co-investigators in preparing murine tissue samples for processing.Handling mice for microbial oral inoculations.Stain immune cells with monoclonal antibodies for flow cytometry.Screening of murine genotypes with polymerase chain reaction (PCR) protocol and maintain a mouse screening logbook.Learn microdissection techniques under stereomicroscope.Prepare culture media & agar plates, grow microorganisms, and quantitate their numbers using spectrophotometer and by manual count on agar plates.Bone level measurements.ELISpot immunoassayCollect and organize data on excel spreadsheet.Fill boxes with pipette tips.Ensure in concert with co-investigators the availability of reagents and supplies for planned experiments.Help make supplies orders to Admin.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:3D Software handlingAgarose gel handling and electrophoresis
Highly preferred:polymerase chain reaction techniquesCT analyzer and VG studio software handlingenzyme-linked immunosorbent spot (ELISpot) techniques
