In short, GCR operates anywhere mining equipment is operated.Job CategoryRetailPosition SummaryAs a Retread Technician you will be responsible for the retreading process of used commercial tires, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Your role will involve inspecting, buffing, applying new tread and curing tires, following strict guidelines, and company protocols. The ideal person for this role will be have an eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills , the ability to follow detailed instructions and a commitment to producing high-quality work. *This role pays a competitive wageResponsibilitiesInspection: Assess tires for retreading or repair needs by evaluating their condition and identifying necessary repairs.Retreading Process: Utilize shearography, buffing machines, and repair equipment to prepare tires for retreading. Apply rubber compounds to the tire casing, ensuring proper adhesion, and hang tires to dry.Curing: Operate curing machines to ensure that retreaded tires are processed correctly for optimal performance and durability.Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of finished retreaded tires to verify they meet quality standards. Cross-check work orders to ensure proper identification and completion of all required tasks.Finishing: Trim and paint retreaded tires to achieve a finished product that meets company standards.Safety and Compliance: Responsibly and safely use all relevant tools and machinery, adhering to established safety protocols and company policies.
