The work we do here matters.Department OverviewThe Software Deployment & Integration organization is responsible for deploying mission-critical solutions to environments where every second matters. Each software application in our Command Center suite is strengthened with unique integrations, consistent user experiences, accelerated workflows and centralized access to data. Our public safety software suite is the only end-to-end software platform that provides a unified experience and intelligent capabilities designed specifically for public safety. The portfolio integrates emergency call handling, command and control, real-time intelligence operations, video, records and evidence, broadband push-to-talk (PTT) and land-mobile radio (LMR) interoperability.Job Description
Note: This position is remote, and candidates can reside anywhere in the US.Overview:We are looking for a Solution Architect who is passionate and proactive about making a difference for public safety solutions to meet the increasing challenges of today's complex world.The Flex Solutions Architect (SA) requires the knowledge and skills that are both broad and deep. Must understand customer needs and vision and align technical solutions to address project deliverables, changing technologies, and to improve customer productivity and effectiveness. The SA is responsible for the development of the overall vision that underlies the project solution and transforms that vision through execution into the solution. Critical to this role is the ability to identify technical requirements that can go into product or services roadmaps and architectures, as well as, demonstrate the end-to-end technical differentiation of MSI solutions.The role will work closely with the Flex product deployment team resources and engage the product business units for technical clarifications/approach to complex requirements, as well as, interpret technical requirements with the project team for delivery scoping and project phasing. The SA will draw on the deep technical architecture of MSI products, software, applications, 3rd party, and customer legacy IT to interpret business requirements into technical architecture and be responsible for deploying the Flex solution.Desired Skills & Knowledge:Linux and Windows Server operating systemsNetwork configurationSituational Stress-management

Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of engineering, IT or technical experience
OR 5+ years of engineering, IT or technical experience
This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.
