Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: ICU Step Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend and holidays required Guaranteed Hours: 36.00 per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in ICU and Stepdown required; 3-5+ years highly preferred License: Valid Registered Nurse License Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS)- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)- Telemetry- Non-titratable drugs management Must-Have: - ICU and Stepdown experience within the past six months- Experience and competence in working with pulmonary patients, ventilators, tracheostomy care, managing drips, and intubation- Willingness to float or downgrade as needed- Ability to manage patients with a variety of conditions, including flu, COVID-19, heart issues, lung issues, etc. Job Description: - Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care.- Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs.- Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.- Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care for assigned patients through ongoing assessments.- Initiate assessment based on patient problems or needs, physician's medical diagnosis, and functional health framework.- Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage patient care.- Document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.- Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.- Provide patient-centric care aligned with the professional nursing practice model.- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.- Float to units within competency as required.
