Job Description

PEMCO Mutual Insurance Company seeks a Data Modeler for its Seattle office (telecommuting permitted from WA, OR, ID, OH, TX, FL, and SC).

Job Duties:Utilize ERwin Data Modeler and model mart to create logical and physical data models in ERwin; upload/download models; assign names, definitions, domains, data types, keys, relationships, subject areas, and user defined properties within all data models; and output list reports from ERwin.Conduct reverse/forward engineering to reverse engineer data models into ERwin Data Modeler from any database; provide table definitions of target objects; keep data models and databases synchronized and up-to-date; and model source data.Conduct data profiling and analysis to identify data types, domains, nullability and sample values in models; and identify keys, duplicate data and redundancies.Design, build, and maintain enterprise data models to model simple, bi-temporal or multi-temporal historical data tables; manage subtypes/supertypes and physical implementations; and maintain consistent data modeling conventions.Conduct data mapping and lineage to map data elements from sources into atomic warehouse and from atomic warehouse to presentation layer and record source(s) of each entity and attribute in data model.(Telecommuting permitted from WA, OR, ID, OH, TX, FL, and SC.)Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Mathematics, or a closely related field.

3 years of experience as a Data Modeler, Developer, or a related occupation, including:

3 years of experience with enterprise data warehouse (EDW) third normal form (3nf), dimensional modeling, and a hybrid warehouse utilizing Azure Synapse.3 years of experience using data modeling tools to create, manipulate, and analyze logical and physical data models.3 years of experience communicating complex technical issues solutions and designs including data algorithms or data definitions, to a wide variety of audiences including internal stakeholders, data analysts, product and pricing team executives, and data engineers.3 years of experience with formal data architectures and design patterns.3 years of experience writing technical requirements and user requirements in an Agile environment.3 years of experience performing data analysis, profiling, and troubleshooting in T-SQL.1 year of experience performing data modeling or data analysis in the insurance industry.1 year of experience using Agile team practices and performing data vault modeling.1 year experience integrating disparate data into a cohesive model using a range of relational and NoSQL data sources.Experience may be gained concurrently. Foreign equivalent degrees are accepted.

Compensation and Benefits:

Wage Range: $132,454 to $164,249 per yearRegular part-time PEMCO employees working at least 24 hours per week and regular full-time PEMCO employees are eligible to elect coverage under medical, dental, and vision plans for themselves and their eligible family members with generous employer premium cost shares.
