Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tax Advisor to join our team. The Senior Tax Advisor will be responsible for providing comprehensive tax planning and advisory services to our clients, focusing on retirement strategies, tax-efficient investment planning, and estate tax planning. This role requires an in-depth understanding of tax laws and regulations, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with our financial advisors to develop holistic financial strategies. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping clients minimize their tax liabilities while achieving their financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert tax advisory services to clients, with a focus on retirement planning, estate planning, and tax-efficient investment strategies.

Prepare and review complex tax returns, including individual, trust, and estate returns.

Collaborate with financial advisors to develop and implement tax-efficient financial plans tailored to clients' specific needs and goals.

Conduct tax research and stay up-to-date on changes in federal, state, and local tax regulations.

Advise clients on the tax implications of investment strategies, charitable giving, and other financial decisions.

Assist clients in tax planning for life events such as retirement, inheritances, and major purchases.

Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients by providing exceptional service and proactive tax advice.

Respond to client inquiries regarding tax issues and provide clear, concise solutions.

Participate in tax audits, offering support and representation for clients when necessary.

Provide mentorship and guidance to junior tax staff within the team.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree in Taxation or a CPA designation preferred.

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in tax advisory services, preferably within a wealth management or financial advisory firm.

Strong knowledge of individual, trust, and estate tax laws and regulations.

Experience working with high-net-worth individuals and families.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues to clients in a clear and understandable manner.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
