Primary responsibilities of the Controller include:

• Manage all aspects of corporate accounting, including month-end close process, invoicing, AP/AR, cash flow projects and cost accounting.
• Provide oversight and support to Leadership, Project Managers, and field operations on all financial reporting and compliance processes.
• Focuses of role is evaluating construction job costs, data reporting/analysis, budgeting/forecasting, and revenue recognition.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and other financial regulations.
• Lead finance forecast reviews and validations, analyze data trends to identify and quantify financial risks and opportunities.
• Manage legal contracts, tax obligations, leases and loan/debt covenants.
• Lead, mentor, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the accounting team.

Ideal skills and experience for the Controller:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business
• CPA or advanced degree a plus
• At least 7+ years in a relevant leadership position
• Experience in a job or project cost environment in construction or manufacturing
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including pivot tables and advanced formulas (e.g. vlookup, sumif, index match).
