We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-driven Controls Sales Engineer to join our expanding team in the construction industry. This is a permanent role that offers a unique opportunity to leverage your technical expertise, customer relationship management skills, and passion for sales. Your primary focus will be on control systems, building automation systems (BAS), B2B sales, networking, and energy management. With your technical acumen, you will guide our clients towards the most effective and efficient solutions for their needs, thereby driving our business growth. If you have an engineering background, a knack for sales, and a passion for sustainable energy solutions, this could be the perfect role for you.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
  2. Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients.
  3. Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and project the number of contacts to be made.
  4. Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
  5. Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
  6. Prepare presentations, proposals, and sales contracts.
  7. Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
  8. Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.
  9. Identify and resolve client concerns.
  10. Coordinate with the company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales.
  11. Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events.
  12. Follow-up for collection of payment.
  13. Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery of merchandise and services.
  14. Provide on-the-job training to new sales employees.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field preferred.
  2. Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in controls sales, building automation systems (BAS), B2B sales, HVAC, networking, or energy management.
  3. Proven track record in b2b sales, preferably within the construction industry.
  4. Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  5. Professional Image.
  6. Excellent presentation, negotiation, and customer relationship skills.
  7. Ability to work independently and within a team to achieve sales goals.
  8. Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals.
  9. Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
  10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  11. Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills.
  12. Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
  13. Exceptional listening and questioning skills.
  14. Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
  15. Valid driver's license.
