System Application Manager

Salary: $100,000 - $130,000
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Manager of Applications to lead our applications team and oversee the development, implementation, and management of software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SOX compliance, ensuring that our applications meet the highest standards of security and regulatory requirements. This role requires a strategic leader with exceptional collaboration skills to work closely with IT and other departments to align our technology initiatives with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the application strategy in alignment with organizational goals, focusing on innovation and efficiency.
- SOX Compliance: Ensure all application processes and systems comply with SOX regulations, conducting regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop the applications team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- IT Collaboration: Work closely with the IT department to integrate applications with existing systems, ensuring seamless functionality and data integrity.
- Project Management: Oversee application development projects from conception to deployment, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, assess needs, and deliver technology solutions that drive operational efficiency.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for application performance, identifying areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience (7+ years) in application management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of SOX compliance and experience implementing controls within applications.
- Excellent understanding of IT infrastructure and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across departments and manage cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
