Job Details:
We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Tax Manager to join our dynamic finance team. This is a permanent position that will play a crucial role in managing and directing all aspects of our tax operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all tax-related activities, including compliance, planning, and research. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, where you will have the chance to make significant contributions to our company's financial strategy and operations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of tax compliance, including preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and S corporations.
- Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
- Manage members of the tax team as they prepare components of the company's US federal income tax return and state tax returns.
- Research and resolve tax-related issues, using your expertise to minimize tax liability and risks.
- Coordinate audits by various taxation authorities.
- Negotiate with tax authorities over tax payment issues.
- Advise management on the impact of new laws on tax liabilities.
- Coordinate tax provision preparation and tax-related financial reporting.
- Assist in financial planning and analysis.
- Stay abreast of current developments in the tax area.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a tax manager or public accountant role.
- Strong experience with tax preparation for individuals, partnerships, and S corporations.
- Proven leadership and staff development skills.
- Excellent research and compliance skills.
- Proficient in tax preparation software and reporting tools.
- Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
