We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to join our high-performing engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our inventory of parts, materials, and finished goods. You will be integral to ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain and production processes. Your work will directly impact our ability to meet customer needs and maintain our reputation for excellence. This is a permanent, full-time position offering competitive compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and control all inventory, including parts, materials, and finished goods, to ensure availability for production and delivery to customers.
  2. Conduct regular inventory analysis to identify trends, forecast future needs, and make recommendations for inventory optimization.
  3. Oversee the ordering process, including placing orders with vendors, tracking deliveries, and handling any issues that arise.
  4. Maintain accurate data entry and data analysis related to inventory, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurate in our systems.
  5. Prepare and maintain detailed inventory reports, providing insights and updates to senior management.
  6. Negotiate pricing with vendors, ensuring we secure the best possible terms and maintain strong relationships with our suppliers.
  7. Handle all invoices related to inventory, ensuring accurate and timely payment.
  8. Coordinate with the logistics team to manage the dispatch and receipt of trucks.
  9. Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly and professionally to any queries or issues related to inventory.
  10. Implement and maintain inventory control measures to minimize inventory discrepancies and ensure inventory accuracy.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory management or a related role in the engineering industry.
  2. Proven experience in inventory analysis, reporting, and data analysis.
  3. Strong knowledge of inventory control practices and procedures.
  4. Excellent negotiation skills, with a track record of securing favorable pricing and terms with vendors.
  5. Strong customer service skills, with a commitment to meeting customer needs and resolving issues.
  6. Proficiency in data entry and the use of inventory management software.
  7. Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  8. Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all work.
  9. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to a variety of audiences.
  10. A degree in business, logistics, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
