ABOUT THE POSITIONThe Division of Gastroenterology at the University of Louisville School of Medicine is seeking a Gastroenterologist with therapeutic focus to join a division engaged in diverse clinical and academic practice, and research including multiple NIH grants, and two NIH Center grants.Appointment will be at the rank of assistant of associate level, depending on qualifications and experience.Candidates must have completed both an ACGME accredited fellowship in gastroenterology and an advanced therapeutic fellowship.Position Responsibilities
TeachingTeaching responsibilities may include participation in clinical diagnosis, lectures to medical students, and extramural programs such as continuing medical education lectures at area hospitals.ServiceWill interact with the division chief and faculty for the continued expansion and development of therapeutic endoscopy throughout the U of L health system.
ClinicalClinical practice includes hospital rotations, inpatient and outpatient endoscopy, and office-based patient care.
The primary clinical focus of this position will be on Therapeutic Endoscopy.
