POSITION OVERVIEW

Position title:

Section Chief of Interventional Pulmonology (IP), Division of Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine

Salary range:

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. The salary range for this position is $193,200-$600,000. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Interventional Pulmonology (IP) Section Chief will oversee all aspects of clinical care within the IP section, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care. Responsibilities include:

Collaborating with clinic and procedure area leadership to optimize resources for clinical missions.

Maintaining relationships with leadership of clinical groups that refer to IP services.

Retaining and recruiting faculty to advance the section’s missions.

Developing and overseeing quality improvement initiatives.

Creating a supportive culture for IP faculty and staff.

Coordinating activities to facilitate educational goals and mentoring junior faculty.

Advancing research activities within the section.

Expanding IP services throughout the UCLA Health System.

An M.D. or D.O. is required. Candidates should be board certified or board eligible in Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine, and Internal Medicine, and have completed an accredited interventional pulmonology fellowship. The successful candidate will have demonstrated expertise in interventional pulmonary practice and a proven track record of leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic qualifications:

An M.D. or D.O. is required.

Additional qualifications:

Must be board certified or completed an accredited interventional pulmonology fellowship.

Must be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine.

Must be board certified or board eligible in Pulmonary Disease.

Must be board certified or board eligible in Critical Care Medicine.
