Director of Corporate and Community EngagementSummary:

Success in this position is driven by strategic appeals, networking for growth, and relationship management with corporate and community partners leading to significant contributions in multiple formats. A motivated individual who will be responsible for growing channels of giving, this role will be focused on soliciting gifts of $1,000-$25,000 while retaining and strengthening existing giving. The ideal candidate is a motivated fundraising professional who excels in taking initiative, supervising and supporting team members for success, and is committed to achieving strategic objectives that lead to the success of our organizational mission to end homelessness.

Responsibilities:

Operates within the DuPagePads Core Values, which supports providing care in accordance with the Trauma Informed Policy and Practices of the Agency.

Manage an annual portfolio of 100-150 corporate & community partners, building relationships, identifying and recording moves plans, and executing asks to increase organizational revenue.

Initiate and actively pursue leads via phone, letters, and email cultivating lapsed/current corporate relationships for maximizing giving potential.

Cultivate, validate, and document relationship building with prospects building a pipeline of new partners to manage a diverse and fluid portfolio of key support donors.

Monitor revenue and expenses within Event Giving, including Campaign Donations and Corporate Alliances, and measure the effectiveness of revenue and expenses management to meet affiliated key performance goals.

Assist Special Event Manager with the development, promotion, securing, and fulfillment of corporate sponsorships for organization fundraising events.

Maintain a broad knowledge of DuPagePads funding priorities and activities, ensuring self-comfort and confidence in speaking to these priorities with donors and corporate partners as required.

Coordinate speaking engagements for DuPagePads executive staff and ambassadors as needed to promote mission to corporations and community groups.

Represent agency at local chamber and similar events identifying individuals for deeper engagement; manage portfolio of prospects with VP of Development.

Conduct targeted relationship-building activities frequently with portfolio and consistently document key communications and details about relationship progress into the eTapestry in a timely fashion.

Liaison with Grant Writer when securing and fulfilling corporate or private grant opportunities.

Build and review recaps and reports for corporate partners and funders as requested with Volunteer Manager and Special Event Manager support.

Host corporate and community group volunteer opportunities as needed, creating a welcoming experience and environment for volunteers to learn the DuPagePads' mission and what it means for clients and our community.

Ensure high-level results and corporate volunteer engagement by establishing and sustaining a network of relationships within companies including CEOs, senior executives and other key employees.

Provide support in the planning and completion of workplace on-site and off-site fundraising and friend-raising campaigns.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Comprehensive understanding of successful annual fund planning and development work.

Knowledge and functional use of fundraising software with attention to detailed records.

Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.

Exceptional communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to handle confidential donor information discretely.

Ability to train, manage, and lead team members.

Effective written and oral communication skills.

Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, complete tasks accurately and meet deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must embrace, support and reflect well on DuPagePads mission and values through professional responsibilities and behavior at all times.

Mission-driven; with a focus and excitement working with an exceptional organization that compassionately serves diverse, vulnerable members of the DuPage community.

Three to five years of direct fundraising with businesses and sponsors showing proven results.

Proven ability to build solid, trusting relationships with donors in all facets of the donor continuum, including individual, congregation, corporate and foundation decision makers.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent qualification through job related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven expertise in developing and maintaining positive relationships with diverse individuals, including executives, leadership volunteers and wealthy donors, as well as internal stakeholders and leadership.

Demonstrated goal-oriented behavior, with a drive to achieve agreed upon goals within agreed upon timeframes.

Experience providing proposals with business executives, community leaders, faith leaders, and key interest support groups is preferred.

Master’s degree in a related field or equivalent qualification.

Six or more years experience in fundraising, with proven record of $2500+ individual gift solicitation.

CFRE certification.

Experience in eTapestry and Galaxy Digital database management.

Incredibly strong written and verbal communication.

Proven donor relationship accomplishments and effective prospect engagement.

Ability to work independently including occasional weekend and evenings traveling to meetings as necessary.

Other:

Provide own transportation.

Ability to lift 40 pounds.

Possess a valid Illinois Driver’s License.

Occasional evening and weekend hours.

Classification Status:

Full-time Exempt

Starting salary range:

$70,000, with consideration given for applicable education and experience beyond minimum required.
