Serve as AWS Solutions Architect for large, complex and highly visible IT programs within the federal government, providing technical oversight for mission critical applications.
What You Will Do:
Elicit requirements from the client including complex process flows and design data models that will support the development of the application.
Create work streams for the development team to build out the functional infrastructure and create the application using an Agile framework; developing a roadmap Initiatives and Epics to accomplish the development plan within an Agile framework and work with a scrum master to define stories with clear acceptance criteria.
Demonstrate an understanding of cloud components in either AWS or Azure to design a cloud-native technical solution for the application e.g. the use of AWS Lambdas, SNS/queues, API Gateway, Cloudfront, CloudFormation.
Design and implement large-scale enterprise applications using Amazon Web Services technologies, including AWS Elastic Beanstalk/LightSail, AWS Lambda, AWS RDS/Aurora, AWS DynamoDB, and AWS Batch.
Develop and maintain .NET/Python/NodeJS applications using modern development practices such as Agile methodologies and DevOps principles.
Ensure the performance, scalability, and security of the solutions designed and implemented.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other members of the technical team.
What You Need:
AWS Solutions Architect with 10 years of experience that includes hands-on software engineering activities, such as testing, integration, DevOps or software architecture. Ideal candidates must have demonstrated experience in cloud-based infrastructure, specifically Amazon Web Services technologies. Demonstrated experience working in diverse technical configurations, technologies and processing environments. Experience working in modern software engineering and product development methodologies, including iterative software development techniques.
Technical competence in reviewing the work of others for architectural compliance. Interpersonal skills with customers and guiding technical conversations utilizing excellent written and verbal communication. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with other technical teams and stakeholders. Background must include experience interfacing and presenting to senior client management including C-level executives.
BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline.
Experience designing application architecture components preferably including cloud-native solutions. Strong knowledge of data analytics and experience in designing and implementing data analytics solutions using AWS Glue, Databricks, and Power BI/Tableau/AWS QuickSight. Strong experience with AWS Batch and its related services, including Batch AI and Batch Rendering.
